Invoice template for freelancers and small businesses

When to use it
Use it when you finish a piece of work, reach a payment milestone or bill for a month of hours. Your client’s accounts team reads it, and they look for four things: who is billing, what for, how much and how to pay. The amounts in the template are examples, so replace every figure and check the totals yourself.
What is inside
- A header with invoice number, issue and due dates, and fill-in fields for your company, name, email and client.
- A services table with description, quantity, unit price and amount, plus a summary of subtotal, tax and total due.
- A payment details section for currency, payment method and the reference the client should quote.
Tips for a better document
- Describe each line item so the client recognises it without asking. “Homepage redesign, 5 hours” gets paid faster than “design work”.
- The editor does not calculate totals, so add them up before you export. The PDF has no watermark and selectable text, which makes it easy for the client to copy your payment reference.
