Cover letter template that matches your resume
A cover letter connects your experience to one specific job. This template gives you a heading with the role, your contact line and the date, a greeting to the hiring team, paragraphs for motivation and evidence, three strength bullets and a polite close. It fits on one page.

When to use it
Send a cover letter whenever an application allows one, and always when you are changing field or applying to a small company where a person reads every application. Hiring managers and recruiters read it after your resume, looking for proof that you understand the role. Aim for a letter they can finish in a minute.
What is inside
- Fill-in fields for your name, email, the role, the company and the date, used throughout the letter.
- An opening paragraph on why this team, then a paragraph for one project and its concrete result.
- A three-bullet list of strengths tied to the job description, followed by a closing and sign-off.
Tips for a better document
- Mention the company’s actual work in the first paragraph. A sentence that could be sent to any employer is a sentence to cut.
- The template uses the Editorial style, which reads like a printed letter. Use the same paper size as your resume so the two PDFs look like a set.
