Resume template in Markdown for a clean one-page CV

Write your resume as plain text and let the layout take care of itself. This template has a header with your name, role and email, then profile, experience, education, a selected project and skills. The PDF comes out clean, with no watermark and text that hiring software can read.

When to use it

Use it when you apply for a job, update your CV after a new role or need a short version for a conference or a freelance pitch. Recruiters read it first, often for less than a minute, and applicant tracking systems scan it before they do. A simple single-column layout with real text works well for both.

What is inside

  • A header made from fill-in fields for your name, role and email address.
  • An experience entry with job title, company, dates and three achievement bullets to rewrite.
  • Education, a selected project, and skills grouped into core skills, tools and languages.

Tips for a better document

  • Start each experience bullet with a verb and end it with a result. “Cut page load time by 40 percent” says more than “responsible for performance”.
  • The exported PDF keeps selectable text, which helps applicant tracking systems parse it. Pick A4 or US Letter depending on where you are applying.
