Study notes template in Markdown
Notes are only useful if you can revise from them later. This template turns a lecture, chapter or article into one structured page: a learning objective, a table of key concepts, a worked example, open questions, a recall checklist and a one-sentence summary.

When to use it
Use it straight after a class or a reading session, while the material is still fresh. You are the main reader, a few weeks from now and short on time before an exam. The layout also suits notes you share with a study group, because everyone finds the same sections in the same order.
What is inside
- A header with fill-in fields for topic, name and date, and a line for the source.
- A key concepts table with columns for the term, its meaning in your words and an example.
- A three-step worked example, questions to revisit, a quick recall checklist and a one-sentence summary.
Tips for a better document
- Write each meaning in your own words before you look at the source again. If you cannot, add that concept to the questions to revisit.
- For maths, physics or statistics, type formulas as TeX and they print as proper equations. Export at A5 if you like a smaller booklet to carry around.
