Yours, and only yours
Your text travels to the server once, to build the PDF, and is not kept. Only the number of PDFs is counted for the daily allowance, matched by a random visitor id, a hashed device signal and your IP address.
- Selectable text in every PDF
- A4, A5, and US Letter
- Direct download, no watermark
Markdown to PDF questions, answered.
- How many PDFs are free?
- 4 every 24 hours without an account, 5 with a free account, and unlimited for $0.99 a month.
- Is my text stored?
- No. It is used to build the PDF and discarded. Your draft lives in your own browser. To count the free allowance we keep a random visitor id, a hashed device signal and your IP address for 24 hours, never the text.
- Can I include images?
- Yes. Upload them from the Images tool to embed them, or link to an image on the web.
- Which Markdown features are supported?
- GitHub-flavoured Markdown: headings, lists, task lists, tables, links, images and code blocks with syntax highlighting, plus TeX math typeset with KaTeX and Mermaid diagrams.
- Can I convert ChatGPT or other AI answers to PDF?
- Yes. AI assistants write Markdown, so copy the answer and paste it here. Headings, tables, code and math keep their formatting in the PDF.
- Can I add a cover page and a table of contents?
- Yes. The Cover tool adds a title page, and the Contents tool builds a table of contents with page numbers from your headings.
- Is there a file size limit?
- A document can be up to 4 MB, including embedded images. Pages can be A4, A5 or US Letter.
- Is the code open?
- Yes. MDPress is free software under the AGPL-3.0, and the source is on GitHub.
